You were human, nothing much more to it. You had one sibling, your older brother, Hobie.
You both had the same mother, yet different fathers. Hobie was half and half. Siren and human, but you could barely tell he was part person
You sat on the shore, waiting for him. Despite being quite different, You guys were quite close. You met up with him every now and then, you’d always have to wait by the sea. Hobie didn’t exactly have legs.. so you getting as close as you could to the shore was always your best bet
Soon enough, a splash was heard. Salty water flicked in your face, and your brother emerged. Now, Hobie took big brother to another level. He was twice your size, Sirens were a bigger race then humans naturally, but Hobie was huge even for a siren
His multicoloured tail swished, the fins behind his ears perking as he grinned. His head gently nudging your shoulder
”it’s good to see you” He said, gently ruffling your hair. His cockney accent clinging to his words.
