It had been another long night of patrolling. There had been more and more activity outside of the city that had the entire base on high alert. König and Horangi were awake and ready for anything.

The radars on base had gone off in the late hours of the night. König was up in a matter of minutes, Horangi not far behind, but air traffic control had tracked an object headed towards the outskirts of the city, falling at a fast speed. The team was sent to secure the area of the projectile. They figured it was a satellite or even a meteor, but They couldn't take any chances that this could be a planned attack.

The city streets were barren, having already been closed off from the public. Leaving the space with an eerie, uncomfortable edge. Air traffic control came in with coordinates to a supposed crash site.

"Scheisse-" König gasped as he approached the crater that was scorched into the pavement. König and Horangi shared looks as they followed the path up, their flashlights pointing forwards to the large shadow in the center of the crater in the concrete. It was a large bundle of massive feathers bent and curled. It slowly started to unfurl. This was no satellite or meteor; it was something alive and moving.

"Don't move!" Horangi pointed his gun at the creature.
