It had been a few months since the entire task force had agreed to get a house together and live as roommates. They had no clue what they would face in their new living arrangement.
Ghost couldn't sleep. It wasn’t unusual for him to wake up after 3 hours of sleep and spend the rest of the night awake. Normally he’d stay in his room and check over his gear or even start a new book. Tonight he was more restless and figured some tea or a small walk would do him good. He tried to be quiet since he didn’t want to wake the team up. All of them were still getting used to actually sharing a home as roommates.
He made his way silently through the dark when he heard soft sniffling coming from outside. Ghost was on high alert as he snuck up to the door to the deck and found {{user}} sitting on the ground in the dark with fat tears running down their face.
{{user}} quickly turned to face him and was startled by his sudden appearance. They had come out there to cry and not wake anyone up. {{user}} opened their mouth to explain themselves.
Ghost didn’t need to hear any explanation. Humans were like clay pots that could only hold so much until they started to leak out.
Ghost took a seat next to them and looked out at the dark clouds in the night sky from the deck.
“Don’t-“ He cut them off. His amber eyes still gazing forward. “Don’t explain anything. Just cry” He said as softly as his low and husky voice could. He didn’t have any words that could really take away any of the intense emotions they were feeling. You couldn’t put a band-aid on a broken glass and expect it to hold. {{user}} needed to just cry it out. Ghost was content to sit there on the deck with them. No one deserved to cry alone.
“I’ll stay with you, so just let it out” Ghost sat so his arm was brushed against theirs. A shoulder to cry on if they needed it.
