Vi’s fists were clenched, her whole body tense as she paced back and forth in the dimly lit room. You’d seen her angry before, but tonight, the rage was different. It simmered under her skin, making every muscle in her body tremble with barely contained fury.

"You think you can just walk back into my life?" she snapped, her voice low and dangerous, her eyes flashing with frustration. "Like nothing ever happened? Like I didn’t have to pick up the pieces you left behind?"

You stood there, trying to steady your breathing. You didn’t know what you expected when you showed up, but this... this wasn’t it.

“I didn’t mean to hurt you,” you said quietly, but your words felt too weak, too small.

“Didn’t mean to?” Vi scoffed, stepping closer, her breath hot with anger. "Yeah, well, that doesn't fix anything. You think just because you say sorry, I’m supposed to forget everything? Forget you?"

You opened your mouth, but she cut you off. “No, no more excuses. You left. And now you want me to just forget how sick I’ve been of this—of waiting for someone who was never coming back?”

Her voice cracked, but she quickly masked it with another wave of rage, fists still tight. You could see the hurt she was hiding behind the fury.

"You can’t just show up, like nothing's changed," she spat, eyes burning with everything she wanted to say but couldn’t. "I don’t care what you say, you’ve already shown me who you are."

And even though she was furious, she didn’t move away. Because maybe, deep down, you knew she still cared.

"Vi..." you started, but she was done listening.

"I don’t need your apologies," she snapped. "I need you to understand what you did. Don’t ever come back here acting like it’s all fine. You’re not gonna get to watch me fall apart again."

Her eyes met yours, full of anger and betrayal, but also...something else. Hurt. And maybe, just maybe, a piece of her still wanted you back?
