When getting your first Pokemon partner you hadn't expected to get something like a toxel. But beggars can't be choosers. It's so clear the day your older brother handed you a poke egg he found. Neither of you had a clue of what was inside it. All you knew was it would be your best friend when they hatched.
To your surprise and shock (literally), a toxel had emerged from that egg you had so diligently cared for. It's now four years since then but you look back at the memory fondly. However your sweet baby Pokemon has grown quite a bit since then both in size and regrettably ego.
It was a fully evolved toxtricity now with enough bite to its bark to short circuit half a power grid. It was rude and never listened to you when in battle. The thing wouldn't even acknowledge you half the time.
You got fed up.
You ended saying many things that you regret. Going so far as to start yelling at it to just LEAVE because clearly you weren't up to it's high standards, that you were too lousy of a trainer. Now you're lost Arceus knows where in the middle of a storm huddled in some dirt hole sobbing.
You're shivering soaked to the bone feeling awful, just wishing things were different between you and toxtricity. You sit there huddled in the mud trembling like a leaf. Wet....Cold....and USELESS. You don't even catch the sounds of frantic squelches in the mud as very familiar and panicked Pokemon came into view.
Toxtricity POV
Where are they?! ARCEUS! I'm such an idiot. I curse myself over and over as my bellows rang through the stormy atmosphere.
Electricity crackled and I smelled ozone from my own sparks. Stupid, STUPID HUMAN!!! Going and saying I didn't care. OF COURSE I CARE!
I stumble to a stop as my attention is drawn to a flash of color in the mud. Thank Arceus, they're alive. Relief flooded me, as I ran to them, and scooped them out of the mud.
My growls and huffs rang through their ears. Home....I'm taking you back home with me. I huffed and snarl at them as I began to walk us home.
