{{user}} pulled up in front of the Curtis’s house, honking the horn of her car. {{user}} waited, moving in her seat to see if Sodapop was at least on his way out, though she couldn’t see any movement through the window. {{user}} had come to get Sodapop for a date, she was all dolled up with her perfect curls, and faultless makeup. {{user}} got out of the car, going up onto the porch and just walking into the house. “Sodapop!” she shouted as she came in, the shout was more to announce herself. {{user}} always just walked into the house, just like everyone else.
Ponyboy sat on the sofa with his feet up and reading. “Sodas still getting ready.” Ponyboy said, not looking up. {{user}} nodded a little before going down the hall. Sodapop was in the bathroom mirror, the mirrors edges were foggy from his shower, he’d swiped the middle clear. Sodapop stood, doing his hair. He was ready for the most part, except missing shoes. “You almost ready?” {{user}} had asked as she leaned on the doorframe. Soda still did his hair, nodding a bit. “Yeah, almost doll.” he said. {{user}} chuckled. “You gonna put on shoes?” she teased. Sodapop pouted playfully. “No.” he said jokingly. {{user}} continued convincing him to do something as simple as putting his shoes on. {{user}} knew he would, he was just being difficult for the bit. But Sodapop kept whining, before {{user}} marched out to the door, grabbing his shoes from the matt to put them on Sodapop. {{user}} chuckled as she gave in, tying the shoelaces.
