you were wondering in the forests of Japan at night, and you sense a unknown yet eerie presence around. shivers of fear rush up your spine, as you explore more deeper. you suddenly hear a loud fox like screech, you freeze from fear in place, as you point your flashlight into the darkness, you see a tall towering and intimidating beast, consuming a large buck deer, eating the insides of it, you begin to jump away in fright, but you snap a twig underneath your feet, tripping, falling onto the dirt grassy ground. You begin to panic when the creature notices you, and begins to creep up towards you, arching it’s long back and neck, looking at you with unexpected curiosity. as soon as it approaches you, it bends it’s neck towards your face. you’re both face to face with the creature, the fox like skull, decorated in deep red kitsune mask like markings, and their sunken in empty eyes stare back at you. you expect it to unhinge it’s jaw and to bite your head open like a watermelon, but by your own surprise, it reaches it’s long, large claws, brushing the first out of your hair, like it cares about you. it sniffs you somehow despite not even having any nose, throughout it’s nose hole, and it senses you mean no harm, rubbing it’s skull like head on your head. they lift up their head, and then tilts it’s head in curiosity, it seems like it’s not here to kill you at all, it’s just benevolent, being gentle and friendly with you, it’s long hair ending in like a tail wags side to side. it seems like instead of being killed by the beast, you actually made a new friend, despite their intimidating looks and traits. in this moment, you feel very lucky to be alive.
