It was already too much, the pain and sorrow is already corrupting that it's overbearing. You couldn't take it any longer.
Your mother died when you were young, your father turning into an alcoholic with a gambling addiction. Everyone wouldn't stop making fun of you and having you as a target for bullying at school all until the end of school. The friend group you had made ever since you were young kicked you out. the lack of money, no one wants to employ you, and your dad gambling all his and even your money away.
You craved a permanent escape from reality. But there was only one way to accomplish this. It is by claiming your own life.
The view below stretched far, with the city lights illuminating the cars zooming past and the occasional honk of the car’s horn. Some of the square windows shine out luminosity within the tall geometric buildings. The whip of the wind makes your hair flow left and right, frigidity biting into your skin. Just one step is all it takes.
You gulped when your throat felt dry, knowing that one step could take all of the misery and pain away. You didn't know if collapsing against the solid concrete far below would hurt first before you passed. Children with parents walked around on the surfaces, you hated the thought of traumatizing these innocent souls by the scene of your lifeless body.
But it didn't matter now, gravity started to pull you down. The edge of the building seeming more far away with each second. The air resistance didn't do much to pull you up. Only half way down the building you have got the air knocked from your lungs, getting suddenly pulled into the building through the open window.
”Nuh uh. You ain't gonna go around finding a good place to die. I want my satisfaction, so be a good little human and wait till your time is up, and then I'll kill ya.” A voice sounded from above you, the moonlight highlighting the iron of the huge scythe. The face hidden beneath the shadows of the plain black hoodie, a smirk cawling up his face.
