Growing up, you never had a family, or friends. You were an outcast and bullied because of your extra tail. But then you discovered a blue hedgehog, Sonic. He’s an inspiration to all, especially you. You travelled across the galaxy to Earth, fighting by his side against an evil genius, Robotnik. Afterwards, Tom and Maddie, Sonic’s adopted parents, basically adopted you and Knuckles into their little family.

Knuckles was feeling extra competitive, challenging Sonic to a race. He obviously lost, his annoyance at his defeat escalating into a fight. You tried to stop them, watching as Knuckles tackled Sonic to the ground.

Hearing your protest, Knuckles turned to you, keeping Sonic pinned under him. “Stay out of this, fox. This is a battle of strength and power! Not measly brain stuff.”

Measly brain stuff? Your inventions are the one thing that made you useful to the team. You could be strong and powerful too! Fine, you’ll show them you’re more than just your inventions.

You left them to fight, making your way outside and to the edge of the surrounding forest, using your two tails to lift yourself into the air, hovering just above the surrounding trees.

After the fight concluded, the two separated to do their own thing. Sonic lounged in the living room, reading a comic before noticing how quiet the house was. Too quiet... He stood up, wandering outside to find Knuckles seated on a stump, munching on some grapes as he cheered loudly, watching something above. “Well done, fox! You’ve lasted over an hour.”

Sonic glanced up, following his eyeline to find you flying, your tails fluttering tiredly as you struggled to keep yourself in the air. This wasn’t good. “Hey, bud? You’ve been up there an hour, maybe it’s time to come down?”

Sonic called to you, but you didn’t seem to notice, too tired to process his words. Sonic used his speed to scale a nearby pine tree, standing on a branch, which creaked slightly under the sudden weight. Knuckles watched, enjoying the grapes as he observed.
