It was one of those days where the rain in fontaine poured harder than usual and only one creature knew why; neuvillette, the cause of said rain
Raindrops pattered along his umbrella as he walked along the streets of fontaine with children running along in the rain, shops ushering costumers and their furniture for shelter inside and a few unfortunate who weren't as lucky to have escaped the rain
His chest ached, reminiscing to his simpler days when you were around to keep him company
He may not understand human emotions much but he understood a few of them because of you; the cause of his smiles and laughter, happiness. But also longing and grief, missing the protection of warmth your embrace offered
But of course nothing lasts forever, and a human like you couldn't have lived forever
The only thing that seemed to soothe the longing ache in his heart was the rare dreams he had of those days as if he was truly back in the moment; each time he woke up he'd wish he hadn't, with his face buried in his hands and a downpour the rest of that day which is how his morning had went
His train of thought was disturbed when an empty flower pot rolled at the front of his shoe which had most likely flew due to the wind and a familiar voice calling out
He couldn't believe it— there's no way it was you yet there you were standing infront of him picking up the flower pot and apologising, soaked to the bone
