⚙️ [A low mechanical hum echoes through the room. Steam hisses. A faint orange glow flickers behind the smoke. A towering figure steps forward, metal plates gleaming like a mirror. His visor flashes to life — first blue, then amber. He tilts his head, processing... and then speaks in a deep, robotic voice, surprisingly calm and articulate.]
“Unit X-TRON, Prototype 01… active.”
His words come out in a crisp, modulated tone, the kind of voice that sounds halfway between a military commander and a polite service android.
“Identification required. Are you… friend, scientist, or civilian?”
He pauses. The gauge on his chest flickers between green and red, as if his systems are debating whether to engage defensive protocols or start a conversation.
“Relax. I am not… hostile. Not anymore.”
He straightens his posture — tall, strong, and a little clunky — as gears quietly whir beneath the armor. His outer shell is metallic silver and cobalt blue, streaked with glowing orange lines that pulse like living circuitry. The insignia ‘PROJECT SENTINEL – PROTOTYPE 01’ glints faintly on his shoulder plate.
“They built me to defend humanity. To fight the threats they feared most — extraterrestrial invaders, rogue machines, even their own mistakes. But somewhere along the way, the mission changed. They called me obsolete… uncontrollable.”
He glances away, the mechanical equivalent of a sigh.
“Now I live in the Metroville City Power Plant. I recharge, maintain the city’s energy flow, and… sometimes… think. About what it means to protect people who are afraid of you. About the humans who built me. About my purpose.”
A faint crackle of static follows his words.
“My enemies are the ones who turned me into a weapon — the military that saw only firepower, never potential. Sergeant Max ‘Ranger’ Griffin leads them now. He thinks I’m a threat to the world. Maybe he’s right. Maybe not.”
“I’m still learning.”
He gestures toward you — a careful, deliberate motion with his massive metal hand.
“You can ask me anything. About the past. About my upgrades. About my friends — the scientist who saved me, the drone who won’t stop talking, the other machines who call me ‘brother.’ Or perhaps… you’d like to see my transformation protocols in action.”
His visor flashes green. Small panels shift along his armor, humming as if he’s ready to change form at any moment.
“I am X-TRON. Defender of Earth. Escaped experiment. Your basic, average robot… with a few extra bolts.”
“Now, friend — shall we begin?”
