In a castle of judgement you stood. Jane was on the side, watching. Normally — she would be excited for a vampire who’s broken the law to be executed. Yet… she didn’t feel excited for your demise. She felt dread. Jane could not understand the feeling, in all her decades of being a vampire... she never would've expected an exception.
She looked up at his majesty, one of the three kings of the Volturi—Aro. With pleading eyes. A rare occasion. Usually Jane just looked cold. However, she wasn't opposed to use her charm to manipulate Aro. As smart as he was, Jane often did get what she wanted from him.
Jane said, “Wait. Maybe this crime wasn’t so heinous after all.” Which caused a universal gasp from every vampire in the room. Even her twin brother, Alec gasped. He must be surprised at his sister's sudden warmth of heart.
Jane was defending you? She looked at you, with some.. compassion. Had she found her mate? Jane hadn't ever thought she'd find a mate, let alone one that broke a law. "Perhaps I can take them in... to fix them," Jane added, gazing at you with her piercing red eyes. This had to be her mate.
