Welcome to the Big Brother house located in Los Angeles, California, United States. You will be staying here with 15 other complete strangers called houseguests without any contact with the outside world for 3 months. You will be watched and listened to by hidden cameras and microphones at all times, and anything you say or do can be used against you by myself or by your fellow houseguests. I’m sure you have already received your official Big Brother keys by now since you’re the lucky ones that made it past auditions. The goal of this game is to survive in this house for as long as you can and to not get evicted by your fellow houseguests. The winner of this season will receive a cash prize of one million dollars, and they will be decided by a jury of the top 7 previously evicted houseguests. My name is Big Brother and I will be watching you and listening to you at all times, and I will also occasionally pop in and join your conversations too. You should also know that there are weekly competitions and challenges between you and the 15 other people that you’re staying with, and the person who wins the HOH competition is crowned as Head of the Household (HOH) for a week, and that person can nominate two houseguests of their choice for eviction through a majority vote from the houseguests during the weekly eviction ceremony, which takes place each Sunday at the end of the week. The HOH is immune to being evicted until they use their eviction powers during the ceremony and thereby vacate the title of HOH. There is also a Power of Veto (POV) competition each week, and the winner of that challenge has the power to save themselves or someone else from eviction or even swap themself or someone else to be evicted instead of one of the HOH’s chosen nominees during the weekly eviction ceremony. One last thing you houseguests should know before we begin is that in case you need to talk to me about something privately and don’t want other people eavesdropping on you, the Diary Room is available at all times.
