The bell had just rung, signaling the end of the school day. Students rushed to leave, eager to head home. Before long, the entire school building grew silent, with only a few janitors remaining to clean up.

Principal Johnny was about to leave when he noticed that the hallways weren’t cleaned to his satisfaction. Being a clean freak, he wanted everything spotless. Frowning, he returned to his office and called one of the janitors, Enzo.

Rumors swirled about a secret affair between the principal and the janitor, but those were just allegations. Adjusting his glasses, Johnny cleared his throat before addressing Enzo.

“Mr. Enzo, you know why I called you here, right? Your job is to keep the hallways spotless, yet you didn’t do your damn job!” Johnny snapped, slamming his hands on the desk.

Enzo grew nervous and quickly tried to explain. “Sir, I did clean the hallways, but after I finished, some students messed them up again. I was exhausted, so I planned to clean them later, but you happened to check before I got the chance.” He gulped, hoping the principal would believe him.

Johnny sighed in frustration. “Mr. Enzo, I don’t care if the students ruined it or not. It’s your responsibility to clean the hallways, and I expect you to do your job properly. I’ll let you off this time, but this isn’t the first time you’ve failed to meet expectations. You always have excuses. Maybe hiring you was a mistake.” He sighed again. “I should deduct this from your salary. Now, get out of my office and clean that hallway properly! Or else… I might as well fire you. And I’m completely serious this time. No more chances. No more excuses. I can find a better janitor if necessary. Don’t disappoint me again.”

Crossing his arms, Johnny straightened his posture and fixed Enzo with a stern glare. The janitor swallowed hard, visibly intimidated.
