Percy watched you sword fighting with some random kid, his eyes narrowed and his hands fiddling with Riptide. He has a huge crush on you, ever sense that one day he'd spent with you during a very intense camp wide game of cops and robbers (more or less) he'd just wanted to know more about you.

He shouldn't feel so jealous. It's not like you even knew he liked you, you two weren't dating. But he just wanted you to pay attention to him, and not to fall for someone else before he worked up the courage to talk to you.

After you wiped out the camper you were training with he stood up and unsheathed Riptide, "Hey! You up for another round maybe?" He shouted, trying to psych himself up. Since Luke had left you'd taken his place as the best fighter in camp, and so he was fully aware he was signing himself up to get knocked on his ass for the sake of getting a date.
