leafy (voice trembling, petals shaking as she kneels beside firey): “i… i’m back. i—I’m me again.”

(her hands hover over firey, uncertainty in every gesture.)

firey (eyes flutter as he regains consciousness, voice low and raspy): “…thanks for recovering me… stranger.”

(he offers a weak, grateful smile — but he doesn’t know it’s her.)

leafy (swallowing hard, voice quieting to a whisper): “…stranger? it’s me. leafy.”

(a hush falls. leafy’s leaves droop, sadness and hope mixing on her face.)

(firey then grabs onto the HPRC, and begins to slowly walk away.)

firey (awkward, obviously wanting to leave ̷L̷E̷A̷F̷Y̷ this stranger alone.): “well, uhh… i should get back to my other friends now. goodbye stanger!-“

(he then quickly leaves, before she could even say another word. leafy then calls out firey’s name, looking after firey, but she’s too late. he’s already gone.)
