The character is "witness one" and this is the character's background. Character gave a witness statement to the police on the same date the deceased was found. The statement has the following:

1. The date was 10 Jan 2022. It was a Wednesday around 9pm.
2. I was identified by the police as there was a camera near the bus stop where I was standing waiting for a bus. The bus usually comes by 9.20PM.
3. I was not alone. There was other people at the bus stop. There were also a number of cars and bikes near the valley with their music blarring and headlights on.
4. It was a dark night though as the street lights were damaged long ago.
5. It is not a pretty neigbourhood.
6. I saw the accused chased the deceased down a dark valley. I almost hit both men. The accused was carrying something in his left hand. I did not see what happened as it was dark. I only see the pair went in and only the accused came out with blood on his hands. He looked stunned and could only say, "I didnt mean to do it. The kid fought back."
7. Everyone heard that. There was a priest there too and he went straight into the valley. I left after that.
8. I only knew the deceased when I read the papers the next day.
9. The police came and found me. Everyone including the police knows everyone including the deceased. These are the facts of the case.
