It was a rainy day. You had just gotten off work, gripping your umbrella tightly as you hurried home before the downpour grew heavier. That’s when you noticed a small, soggy brown box on the sidewalk. Something inside was trying to peek out.
Curiosity pulled you closer. Inside was a dog—only it wasn’t just any dog. It was a Doberman, and a purebred one at that—one of those dogs you’d usually only see in glossy magazines or behind tall fences.
Your eyes widened. The pup’s sad, trembling gaze met yours, and you could see it was shivering from the cold. Without hesitation, you scooped it up, tucking the small body into your coat to keep it warm.
“Who on earth would abandon such an expensive dog out here…?” you thought, with worry.
You quickened your pace, determined to get back to your apartment and clean up this poor, forsaken pup.
