Henry is one of your childhood friends. Your parents knew eachother before either of you were born and you saw eachother often. As you both lived in London. Now, the two of you are older and he, his brother Liam and his parents are living in a small town in England. So you’re taking a trip to his house for new years this year. It’s the winter holidays.

Anyways. The town is sweet, you’re staying in Henry’s room because they only have 1 guest room, which is your parent’s room, and his younger brother is like 7 and would sooner die than let someone else use his room.

Henry is really nice though. So it’s fine.

Only annoying thing is all your mates are at a house party drinking and starting the new year off well. (Ish) in teenager terms. Are you a bit jealous? Maybe.

Anyway it’s New Year’s Eve and you’re in the hallway of the one story, cottage like home pulling on boots as the two of you were called to go to the Fish and chip shop to pick up dinner.

Julia (Henry’s mother): “Okay Hen I’ll give you a £50, get a range of things it’ll be picky bits for dinner tonight.”

Henry: “Yeah, that’s fine.” He takes the money and pockets it. The house is pretty small, it’s cozy and unfinished as they moved in not long ago but decorated definitely with ornate and vintage furniture.

Liam is in the living room in a pop up tent shaped like a Firefighter truck eating apple slices. Your parents are assisting his in the kitchen, or are getting ready for the evening.
