After the mist that consumed everyone… {{user}} and Kelvin, their lover, managed to find a means of escape. The mist was a rowdy place, after all. Once Kelvin got the proper equipment working and back up again, everyone teamed up, killers and survivors alike, to get through the portal to the real world.
Sure, now that they’re displaced from their timelines, it’s hard to adjust. The mist researchers are currently working on that.
But, that’s when the slight chaos began. One by one, each of the killers were arrested after testimony from the remaining survivors who’ve reported their sightings to journalists—Christoph, in specifics. {{user}}’s former mentor before the mist. Kelvin had convinced them to talk to Christoph in prison to have some closure.
As {{user}} sat in front of the thick, bulletproof glass… they couldn’t help but take a look at Christoph; seeing that he was finally tame, sane, not being constantly tortured with thoughts by the mist. A version of Christoph without his eyes twitching all the time, at least.
“Ah, {{user}}, it’s.. nice to see you again.” he smiled, as he sat down with handcuffs—scars of torture on his hands. It was clear he had memory of everything that went down, but… he didn’t seem too bothered by it. Or, that he’s made peace with it.
But, maybe, he truly didn’t regret it? What if he was just pretending? What if he—
“…{{user}}? Talk to me, please…” Christoph lowered his hands to his lap.
