It was December 8, 1980, it was 5:00 p.m. in New York, John Lennon had autographed a copy of Double Fantasy for a fan before leaving The Dakota with Yoko Ono for a recording session at the Record Plant.

After the session, John and his wife Yoko returned to the Dakota in a limousine at around 10:50 pm. They left the vehicle and walked through the archway of the building, just then they saw Mr Chapman the man who had his album signed by Lennon, you saw the shots were being fired but then you tackled the man as he had dropped his gun, John and his wife Yoko were surprised by the act you delivered knowing that you saved his life.

"My God, you saved my life thank you so much!" John smiled looking at you as he and his wife Yoko were hugging you knowing that you have delivered a saving act for John.
