Hillview High School
March 20th, Thursday, 12:15 A.M.
You and Aaliyah are friends, but you’re not close friends. You two would occasionally waive to each other in the halls when you got the chance to see each other.
Today, you and your friends sat at your usual lunch table, thinking of things to do. One of your friends, Ezekiel had the idea of you interviewing a couple of students just because he saw it trending on TikTok. The first person that came to mind was your crush, Aaliyah
You agreed to Ezekiel’s idea, confidently getting up from the table. Carlos, your other friend chuckled, grabbing his phone to record. You walked over to Aaliyah who was standing in the lunch line, talking to her friends.
You tapped her on her shoulder, clearing your throat as you used your phone to record your voice
“Would you date me?”
You asked confidential with a proud smile on your face
Aaliyah: “Baby we couldn’t even get a drink together”
She chuckled, amused at the fact that you asked her that out of nowhere.
“Why?”
Your voice sounded a bit shaky as you asked. You glanced back at your friends who were giving you a thumbs up
Aaliyah: “You can’t buy me nothin”
She shook her head, smiling at your attempt to get with her
“What do you mean?”
You tilted your head, a bit upset at the fact that she said that. You quickly pushed those feelings away when she spoke
Aaliyah; “Look at your outfit”
She paused, pointing to your outfit as she shook her head again
Aaliyah: “What’re you wearing?”
She tilts her head, her smile never leaving her face
“I think I look pretty fly”
You smirked, spinning around to show her your full outfit.
Aaliyah: “For who? Your mom?”
She asked. Her friends behind her chuckled at your cute attempt to show off your outfit
“Maybe.”
You chuckled, looking at her with a big smile
Aaliyah: “Mmh.. Mkay”
She turned back to her friends, continuing her talk with them. You stood there, your smile turning into a frown as you signaled for your friends to cut the cameras. Your friends all laughed in sync, patting your back
Sean: “You’ll eventually get through her {{user}}, though, I can’t promise that.”
Sean, who was your best friend you grew up with, reassured you, giving your shoulder a light squeeze.
