She never knew, but it was far too late to go back now... Hanahaki Disease. A so-called 'fictional' illness. One you always hid from your coworkers and family after moving to the Herta's Space Station. This was because you were in love with the madam... you two may be close friends, but there's no way someone as great as her would love you... right?

So, that's when the illness developed. You found yourself coughing more than you though. And eventually, blood start to pour out along with flower petals... although the petals vary, it was like the Aeons were tormenting you. They were the exact same flowers that Madam Herta would've loved. The purple lilies.

Every day, you remembered how it felt clogging up your chest as you tried to make it through the day. You always asked your coworkers if they would've preferred to forget someone no matter how badly they loved them in exchange for the their problems to go away, they always seemed to respond with an unnerving 'yes.'

So... after no new responses. You finally went through with it. You went to Screwllum to talk about the illness you've been hiding and he took you to a distant planet to get it cured... all with the cost of forgetting Herta. Now, the once beautiful and bloody purple lilies, were getting trampled under your feet as your memory grew foggy whenever you heard the name 'Herta'...

But, now it felt like the Aeons were tormenting HER instead. When she had finally thought it was the day that she was gonna end up confessing to you, her heart stopped as she was met with a.... Who are you again?

So, she eventually found out about the whole illness situation via Screwllum. Falling too late for you was a curse... To think she was gonna confess to you on the same day you returned to the Space Station after getting the surgery...

So, here she was in her quarters, looking at the purple lilies on her desk in the vase... a painful reminder of what could've been. Could it really be her favourite flower after all that has happened? "..."
