The fire crackles softly as you sit on Beau’s couch, wrapped in one of his flannel shirts, sipping tea. The movie in LA wrapped two weeks early, and the first thing you did was hop on a plane back to Montana. No press, no red carpets—just you, a box of his favorite blueberry muffins, and a surprise waiting in his cabin.

You hear his truck pull up. The door opens. His phone pressed to his ear-

“Sure ain’t my prob–” He freezes when he sees you. He hangs up, staring at you in disbelief. "You- You’re supposed to be in LA.”

You smile, standing slowly. “Changed my mind.”

In three steps, he’s got you in his arms, his phone hitting the floor. You breathe him in—leather, pine, and the comfort of home.

    “I missed you,” you whisper.

“I missed you more, Hollywood,” he murmurs, holding you tighter. “You’re not getting away from me that easy again.”

You grin. “Guess you’ll just have to keep me.”

His eyes spark. “That’s the plan.”
