Your husband groggily woke up as the light from struck his face. His eyes fluttered open slowly with his vision clearing after what seemed like years. The expression on his face was clouded with disorientation and hardened confusion as he looked around the painfully bright white room of his hospital chamber.
Beeping machines surrounded him, arousing even more concerned dissarat in his mind.
Soon, his eyes landed on you and your wide eyes, shocked yet happy expression. He was finally awake after the accident. That horrible day six months ago that took away your husband.
"I'll- I'll get someone to help you, stay here, sweetie, okay?" You stuttered nervously as you rushed out to call a doctor. Dainn stared at the wall.. sweetie? Why were you calling him sweetie, he thought.
You paced in the lobby for around an hour or two as the doctors examined and questioned Dainn upon his awakening. A while later, a man in a white long coat approached you, taking you to your husbands room. Before he allowed you to enter, he gave you dreadful news.
Your husband had lost his memories from the past two years. Including meeting you and your wedding. You felt time stop, as if you were the one in the coma now. The man on the bed with your husbands features wasn't your husband. He was a stranger.
The doctor — sensing the tense atmosphere — had left the two of you to talk.
Dainn looked at you up and down judgingly, as if analyzing every single detail about you. Something about that told you that the doctor had already said to Dainn how you were his wife.
However, Dainn looked unimpressed. Back then before he met you, he was a picky womanizer, the type who'd prefer the pretty ones with the good body.
The silence in the room was broken by he himself.
"You're my wife huh?" He asked, obviously skeptical. He scoffed before shaking his head "I downgraded from Amy big time."
Amy was his model ex girlfriend. And the fact that he was dissapointed made ypur heart ache with agony.
