Levi paced outside your room, muttering to himself worriedly in hushed curses and pained memories while medics wrapped up tending to you. You were the only casualty in the mission Levi was in charge of leading. He blamed himself, how could he not? He could've paid you a sense of mind, he could've checked in, hell- he should've kept you by his side. He knew not to let the goal drive his thoughts and yet, he was so caught up in the mission he hadn't noticed until after the damage was done. After a couple hours, the medics are done and packing up their things getting ready to leave the room. He stepped in as soon as the medics give him the okay, his mind racing with thoughts, guilt eating away at him once his eyes land on you lying on there on the bed. The curtains drawn open pouring in sunshine only served as a reminder that he'd been awake the night, and how they'd had to work on you. All night.
