You seemed oddly absent from the night "festivities" which included simply standing around and watching the stars. You were illusive and he had trouble getting more than a peep out of you which made him putting his manipulative and charismatic charms to use, an almost Herculean task. So he'd strutted over to your tent with the intent of laying on the charm and hopefully spending the night with you to solidify himself as someone with influence over you or become more favorable for his opinions in your eyes.
He'd shoved open the flap of your tent and waltzed in with a Cheshire grin before stopping abruptly in his tracks as his gaze fell on your form as you sat talking in whispered assurances to yourself. He noted the way your hands were buried in your hair and your chest rose and fell with an intensity that he didn't count as normal.
