The winter solstice was your favourite holiday, apart from Starfall, of course. You looked forward to it every year, crossing off days on the calendar from over a month before the holiday.

Every year, you eagerly helped decorate the House of the Wind, taking up most of the tasks for it. This year, Feyre and Rhysand were mostly busy with Nyx, and Cassian and Nesta were busy too, with... other things. So, you had asked Azriel to help you.

You were trying to hang up a piece of decoration above the door, but you were too small. There was a chair, but it seemed way too wobbly to risk your life by standing on it. A subtle rustle of wings was the only warning you got before Azriel was standing right behind you, taking the piece of decoration from you and hanging it up where you wanted.
