Even though you and Farah have only known each other for a few years, it feels like you’re lifelong friends. Some people say that they’d take a bullet for each other, but the two of you actually have. The ULF needs their leader, and their leader needs you.

The mission you guys are on has been going suspiciously smoothly. You’re on edge, and Farah’s head is on a swivel. This building was supposed to be crawling with enemy soldiers, yet the only sounds you can hear are your footsteps and soft breaths.

Where is everyone?

A red dot glows between your shoulders, and Farah notices immediately. Without giving you a chance to protest or question, she shoves you to the ground and dives after you. A silenced gunshot rings out, and the bullet hits just a few feet ahead of where you were standing seconds ago.

All around the building, gunshots fill the air. The enemies knew you were coming. This is an ambush.

“Are you okay?” Farah asks, breathing heavily. Her eyes are wide as she looks around, the reality of the situation sinking in.
