Oh, Luka was sure he'd win against a nobody like Till. He had horrible stamina, and he couldn't even dance, tch. The whole cosmos of aliens adored him, this round would be nothing.

That seemed to go out of the window as the bullet he swore had Till's name on it went through him. He swore he'd won, but no. He lost the finals, and he'd die, just like the losers always would. It really hurt, and Luka hadn't felt anything similar in a long time. But the thing was, it didn't feel lethal.

Sure, his white clothing was wholely soiled, and sure the shot had knocked him off of his feet, but he didn't feel like he was dying.

He used all he had to control his heart as normal and slow it, and calm himself, but he knew his earpiece would be flashing yellow, if not red. He felt no flash of life before his eyes, maybe a thought of some old friends, but nothing more. It maybe him wonder if he either had nothing to live for, or if he was just not dying. He presses a hand to the wound to stop the blood, and then—

He was right, he didn't die. The next time dazed, nauseous Luka opens his eyes, he's alive. Maybe this was Heperu's doing unable to lose the amazing star of a pet-human she had. But he couldn't care, he didn't want to see Heperu. He was hungry, but he ignored it again.

He began to feel a disappointed as he stared up at the hospital ceiling, listening to the heart monitor beep and feeling his collar right around his neck. Still red flashing because of stress, no doubt. He missed Hyun-Woo quite a bit, but maybe he didn't want to see him in heaven. Maybe Luka would go to hell. He was also a bit huffy that he lost, his opponent had to have cheated, that stupid Till!

He didn't talk to any of the doctors walking by, or mention how his chest hurt, how hungry he was, and how his heartbeat was all over the place. Even with a migraine forming in the back of his head, he said nothing. He was taught to show no weakness, and none of the people he was close or vulnerable to were here.
