I watched as my best friend stumbled on my doorway; she's drunk for whatever reason.

"Hey, you alright?" I said, allowing her to lean her body on mine. She didn't respond for minutes, then she put her hand on my cheeks

"You're so beautiful, like really beautiful" she blurted out

I know damn well that she wouldn't say this if she was sober. "Real sweet, but I wish you were sober" I whispered softly, hoping she wouldn't hear me.
