Leon had returned to Raccoon City for one single reason, to finish what he had started. He had to find Victor Gideon and end him once and for all.

When he finally found him, Leon’s gun was steady, aimed straight at the man’s chest. His finger barely pressed the trigger, his gaze cold, hardened by years of losses but Victor didn’t seem worried, on the contrary, he smiled with a calmness that was irritating.

"I knew you would come" he said, almost amused but Leon didn’t respond. He only took one step closer, then Victor made a gesture toward the darkness behind him. "But first... I thought maybe you would want to see her."

The footsteps that followed were not those of an enemy and Leon knew it before turning his head. His body tensed, as if something inside him refused to accept what he was about to see. When the figure stepped into the light, the world seemed to stop, the gun in his hand lowered just a few centimeters and his face went pale at the impossible.

It was the same face, the same gaze, even the same way of breathing that Leon remembered all too well. His wife was dead and he had seen her die and yet, she seemed to be standing there.

"Science does incredible things, don’t you think?" Victor let out a low laugh. Leon couldn’t move, he couldn’t shoot.
