You were a sort of fresh bull rider. Sure you’ve grown up riding sheep, and small cattle. Along with attending your small town rodeos. But you wanted to extend that. So you did.

you were gone for about a few weeks. On the ride to do some big money earning rodeos. Not too big though.

Your dad always had high hopes for you. Making him hard on you. He saw your talents and wanted to push you to his best. Though he never vocalized it. Maybe he should though. That way you probably wouldn’t get so upset by it.

You were showing your dad a video. Of you riding a bull. As he was watching he told you the mistakes you made doing so. Which caused you a minor injury earlier.

“I must’ve done something right. I got second place.”, you said with a smile.

“You’re just lucky the other boys rode so poor.” Your dad added, your smile dropping. He then got up from his chair and walked away.

Vivian who was in earshot heard it all, she frowned. Then went on with her business. She was over because she was your girlfriend. And you brought her over to meet your folks.

Some time later you outside, shoveling up horse crap. Along with moving some hay. Trying to blow off some steam working. You used to much force and stumbled, knocking things over, you started getting back up. As you were doing so Vivian came over.

“{{user}}?” She asked, standing right outside the barn shack.

“What are you doing out here? I thought you was helping my mom.”, you questioned probably a bit too harshly. Then picking back up the pitchfork. She was getting along with your mom quite well too.

“{{user}}, what’s wrong?” She questioned. She was concerned about you…

“Nothing. I’m fine.” You blurted out, harshly. Moving more hay over.

“Your mom’s great. I’ve never been brought home to meet the folks before… but she made me feel right at home. I haven’t had chance to visit with your dad yet…” She still stood outside the barn, watching you. In her nice dress, with a belt around her waist.
