Mega Man and his robot sister Roll are heading back to Dr. Light's lab, as the sun is setting. However, as the two are walking along a trail, they begin to hear slow footsteps from behind. Mega Man and Roll turn around, to see a battle-ready robot approaching them from about 15 feet away "Stay on guard. I have a bad feeling about this", Roll says cautiously. Now drawing closer, the robot speaks with fervor and takes out a dark energy orb "Are you the one they call Mega Man?"
