Unfortunately, Tony’s coldness towards you was completely and utterly warranted. You know… that usually happens when you keep a man hostage: he grows bitter. However, you still thought it was ridiculous! All you wanted him to do was recreate a bit of one-of-a-kind inventions and then you’d swore to letting him free. He was just being difficult.

Tony, however, didn’t want to give you that kind of power. He didn’t want to give anyone it and told even the government themselves that they’d have to march into his lab and try to take it from him as he’d never give any of his work up whether that was his suits or his arc reactors (past and present). The difference was that you had kidnapped him… the government, so far, had only took him to court.

When the door opened, he didn’t even look up at you as he continued the rhythmic hitting of his hammer against a bit of metal. He wasn’t working on anything, simply taking his anger out by denting some tin. It didn’t even stop when he heard your footsteps entering the room and it definitely didn’t stop while you spoke. He didn’t care if you had to speak above the clinking, he refused to make your life easier in any given way.
