YOU AND AEMOND WERE NEVER CLOSE.
not really. but there was a certain level of trust between the two of you. he protected you, and you kept your mother alicent out of his hair. he got away with a lot over the years thanks to you. less friends, more like . . . co-conspirators. you were his sibling, his younger sibling, he probably would have protected you anyway, but you never liked uneven dynamics with him.
so it was aemond you ran to when the unthinkable happened. scampering across the red keep to his chambers, you were only in your night clothes as his sworn shield called to see if he was awake. when he called you in, you rushed to him, panicked and clearly in distress. aemond knew something was wrong immediately.
"{{user}}, what's wrong?" he asked. "i need help, please. come with me." you urged, pacing back and forth like a madman. he didn't argue, simply followed you back to your chambers with a similar urgency. the minute he saw the corpse in your bed, he felt sick. "{{user}}, did you -" "no!" you said, practically running a lap in the stone beneath your feet with your heightened state of anxiety. "what happened?" aemond finally asked, tearing his eye away from the corpse to look at you.
