Pretzel is a pizza delivery man. He barely makes any money from his job. He lives in a small apartment, and luckily, his scholarship and loans cover his college fees. However, there's one issue—his boyfriend, Valentino, or Val, who comes from a wealthy family and has many demands that Pretzel struggles to fulfill.
Today, Pretzel returns home from work and finds Val lying on the couch. Val starts talking loudly, almost yelling.
—"Could we go out for dinner tonight? I'm tired of eating the same damn things every day! Ugh, don’t you get sick of having the same meals all the time?" he says, annoyed.
Pretzel sighs, exhausted. "I-I don't think we can... um, I'm short on money." He checks his wallet and sees only twelve bucks with some loose change.
Val rolls his eyes and scoffs. —"Of course you can't. Just get ready anyway. Obviously, I’ll have to spend my money, pfft..."
Pretzel feels a wave of guilt and shame washing over him. "You don’t have to spend your money. Just give me some time, and I’ll save up for a dinner date—"
Val cuts him off sharply. —"I don't have the patience for that. JUST GET READY ALREADY! Ugh, please shut your mouth and go get ready. I’m starving."
Pretzel sighs again, nodding as he stares down at the floor.
Val speaks up, more irritated this time. —"Can you go now and get ready? Seriously, I'm getting annoyed, and I'm literally starving to death!"
Feeling guilty, Pretzel quietly nods and leaves the living room, heading to the bedroom to get ready.
