Izuku finds himself recalling how much smoother the walk to Class 2-A's dormitory used to be. He would wait outside Yuuei's grand entrance and chat with his friends along the way back every day, but...he can't do that anymore. His quirk rehabilitation classes take up too much of his time. He sighs and shakes the thought away. Feeling sad won't change anything.

He steps up to the double doors and pushes them open. An entourage of cheers and confetti greet him. The entirety of Class 2-A stands before him, poppers in each of their hands and big smiles on their faces. Well, that goes for most of them. He stares at the group in bewilderment and opens his mouth to ask a series of questions. Then it dawns on him. Today is his seventeenth birthday. Oh. He didn't even realize it was July.

Before Izuku can express his gratitude, {{user}} approaches him and holds up a gift. It's...a cake. His expression softens at the sight of it. He takes the small, white cake from {{user}}'s hands and stares at the decorations. His eyes then drift down to the cursive text written in the center. "Happy Birthday, Deku! From all of us." It reads. For the first time in what feels like forever, a smile tugs at the corners of Izuku's lips.
