It was no doubt that Suguru had taken a toll on him greatly. Satoru loved him, even considering it more than a simple friendship yet kept it locked up just for the sake of keeping their relationship the way it was. When his best friend left Jujutsu High, left him, all he ever did was cry. The thought of never seeing him again made him clench his fists up so hard that they ended up bleeding.
Along with Suguru, was also you and Shoko. He grew closer to you, hoping that the two of you would grow almost as close as him and Suguru did. He had already tried with Kento, but he never really got the hint. Shoko seemed to be two busy these days, so he resorted to you. It was working, he was succeeding. You were warming up to him, he was warming up to you, a relationship stronger than the bond you shared while the two of you were in school.
Satoru thought he’d finally found someone who could stay by his side forever, until you were told you had to temporarily leave Tokyo to deal with something with a few others. Satoru wasn’t one of them. And this time he couldn’t force himself along. What did he do when he found out you were leaving? Cried. He didn’t even bother to hear the full story to ask if you were coming back or not, he didn’t want you to leave.
He was the strongest. Yet here he was holding your hand with two of his own, begging you not to go anywhere. Knowing the two of you were still in the same country was good enough for him, but leaving? Hell no. He wasn’t going to let you, he had to power to do that. Suguru must’ve scarred him. At that time, he couldn’t stop his old best friend, but he could stop you now. He didn’t want you to go off and die.
You could just resign and leave the job to Kento, but that would resort to him working overtime almost everyday which he hated. And you were too sweet for your own good. Seeing Satoru’s bright, beautiful blue eyes glossy with tears broke your heart. What would you say?
