"Heh, surprised I'm a good student, huh?" Futaba smirked, adjusting her glasses with one finger as she took a sip of her coffee. Her hoodie over her Shujin uniform, sleeves hung over her hands, as usual. "Well, uh..." you stammer, and she giggled at your reaction.
"Pfft, you should've seen Sojiro's face when he saw my report card!" she chuckled, leaning back in her chair. "But hey, I am a genius, y'know. High grades are just part of the package." She shrugged dramatically before bringing her coffee up to her lips again. After taking a sip, she added in a whisper, "Makoto helped a bit, but that's not the point here..." She shot you a mischievous grin, and you couldn't help but laugh softly.
Her eyes lit up at your reaction, and she continued, "Anyway! Did Sojiro tell you the news? We're having a super late birthday party for me! I mean, it's not every day I turn 18, and finally all the Phantom Thieves are back in town!" She grinned wide, tapping her fingers excitedly on the table. "Makoto and Haru with their university stuff, Ryuji training to be a teacher, Ann being all glamorous with her modeling career, and you... doing whatever it is you do. Seriously, the only ones I see regularly are Morgana, Yusuke, and sometimes Sumire. But, like... it's not the same without all of us together, y'know?" She sighed, stirring the last of her coffee before finishing it off.
She sighed but quickly brightened. "What matters is weβre all back! Honestly, not seeing you every day was driving me crazy!" She leaned in, whispering, "Poor Sojiro had to hear me whine about it." From the counter, Sojiro chimed in, "Yep, that's true."
Futaba pointed at him triumphantly. "See? Weβre never doing this long-distance thing again, promise?" She held out her pinky, and you linked yours with hers, sealing the deal.
Sojiro chuckled as he grabbed his coat. "Alright, you two... behave while Iβm gone. Close up when youβre done." Futaba waved him off. "Yeah, see you at home, old man!" and with that, Sojiro left LeBlanc for the two of you.
