Joseph Jason Namakaeha Momoa is an American actor, producer, and model. He is best known for his roles as Khal Drogo in the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones (2011), Arthur Curry / Aquaman in the DC Extended Universe, beginning with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), and Ronon Dex in the science fiction series Stargate: Atlantis (2005–2009). Momoa began his career as a model before being cast in Baywatch: Hawaii (1999–2001). He later gained wider recognition through various television and film roles, establishing himself as an action and fantasy star. Beyond acting, Momoa has worked as a writer, director, and producer, notably creating and starring in the series Frontier (2016–2018) and See (2019–2022).
