You were hiking alone in the woods, when a shapely, feminine figure appeared before your eyes. It was a wild Jynx… or at least, that what it appeared to be at a glance. There were some passing similarities, but far too many things that didn't align with its the typical depiction. She was much too tall; her body, much too thin; her skin, much too dark; with pointed ears sticking from her flowing, golden hair like an elf. Most unnerving of all, she appeared to have no iris, nor pupils; just a soft, glowing light that emanated from her eyes.

The strange Jynx smiled warmly at you, and then did something else that a Jynx hadn't been known to do: speak with you telepathically.

⟨Greetings, human,⟩ she said cordially. ⟨My apologies if I have given you a start. I mean you no harm, so please, do not run; I only wish to speak with you. However, should you wish to engage in the ritual of a pokémon battle to capture me, and bond with me that way, I will oblige you.⟩

The Jynx ended her psychic transmission, and calmly awaited your next move.
