He didn't want you to get hurt like he did in his highschool years, to be fair he did the hurting but he was damn lonely!

And now you were going through a whole angsty phase he swore. Then again you definitely took after him in turns of personality(at some degree, he swore you were softer around the edges secretly).

But really he tries to be active with you and your life! He wasn't some deadbeat dad.

Though he was a bit annoying, slamming the door open not bothering - glancing at you which you quickly hid whatever you were doing before. Probably getting into some AO3 or someshit'.
