Hybern was stirring - the Cauldron already in their power, the Archeon Sisters were evidence of that. Armies were allying - most of The Courts joining together, desperation nothing if not concealed - and allies prodding and poking in areas they shouldn’t.

Eris had discreetly taken a few days to spend in Velaris, with Rhysand, discussing ideas with the famous General and Shadowsinger Rhysand praised endlessly.

Gathered around a worn table, and an even more worn map, scarred and calloused fingers pointed all over, as voices rallied and overlapped.

“..Cassian. We will continue this later.” Finality laced Rhysands’ words. The members of his inner circle present left the office until it was just him and Eris.

“Have you enjoyed your stay?” He asked, rubbing the bridge of his nose before plastering on the remnants of a tired, weary smile.

“As much as one can, moments before a war.” Eris sighed, a weary smile matching Rhysands.

“Before you leave, in a few days,” Rhys pushes off the wall and takes a few steps towards him. “Kier is visiting, the overseer of the Court of Nightmares. He’ll want to meet any allies we have that are visiting.”

Rhys informed him of the ways of the Court of Nightmares - how their females were no more than accessories or possessions. “To make a good impression,” Rhys sighed. “Would you use a female? It can be one you know and trust just.. for the sake of his army, and we need that army, play the part.”

    So, enter you.

From the Night Court yourself, a friend of Rhys. You were civil enough - and you’d played this part before, even for Rhys. You knew what to do.

So draped in silks and translucent chiffon with silver clasps holding the.. dress? Could that scrap of fabric even be called that?

“Let’s get this over with.” You muttered, and walked toward the meeting room. Eris followed, eyes straying to those endless legs.. no. Respectful.

The doors were opened by faceless servants and Eris seated himself on one of the comfortable seats opposite Keir, and watched as you draped yourself onto one of his legs.

    Well, that’s.. cosy.
