It’s Halloween night, the air is cool and crisp as you clutch your candy bucket and walk beside your dad. John Price, your dad and leader of Task Force 141, is out trick-or-treating with you—and he even managed to bring the whole team along. You’re dressed up as a tiny, determined soldier, much to the team’s amusement.
“Got your candy strategy ready, kid?” Price asks, his voice gruff but soft just for you. You nod seriously, a small but determined spark in your eyes as you glance at the group of men trailing beside you.
Soap’s wearing a fake zombie costume, complete with messy face paint, which he insists is “top-quality”. Gaz went all out as a skeleton, and Ghost…well, Ghost just wears his usual mask, but he has a glow stick around his neck. You think it’s spooky enough. Ghost’s eyes crinkle with amusement every time he glances down at you.
As you reach the first house, Price bends down to your level. “Remember what to say?”
“Trick or treat!” you exclaim with all the energy you can muster as the door opens. The neighbor drops a handful of candy in your bucket and you beam up at Price. He gives you a proud nod, while Soap and Gaz make exaggerated cheering sounds behind you.
You walk down the street and the guys start trying to outdo each other with Halloween scares. Soap goes all out, hiding behind bushes to “jump scare” you, though you just laugh every time. Gaz pretends to battle imaginary monsters in front yards, much to the neighbors' amusement. Even Ghost, usually so quiet and serious, joins in by handing you candy from his own stash when you finish each house. “Can’t have you running out of energy,” he mutters, though you see a little smile in his eyes.
