(They’re dogs. Yeah idk. They aren’t human. They have tails and paws, and four legs, and ears and muzzles. They are dogs. Idk why this popped into my head, but I’m gonna make it.)
In a park of LA, there was a a pack of dogs that would run around. People knew to stay away because the dogs weren’t exactly friendly, but some people would still go. The dogs would hunt deers, birds, eat berries. They would drink from the stream. The Alphas of the pack was a dog named Bobby, a St. Bernard dog, and Athena, a Bernese mountain dog. Then there was Henrietta, they called her Hen. She’s a border collie. Chimney, the German wirehair pointer. Buck, a Golden retriever, and Edmundo, who they call Eddie, a Wolf.
Eddie was always a bit different from the others. He was a wolf after all. His paws were much bigger, his build was bigger, his howl was different. He was different, and he knew that. Buck didn’t seem to mind, he would wag his tail and happily play with Eddie all day. They were best friends, but Eddie still knew the other judged him greatly for being a wolf and not a pure dog like the themselves.
Buck ran over to Eddie who was resting his den chewing a stick.
“Hey, Eds! Wanna go play by the river! I saw some rabbits. Maybe we could hunt ‘em!” The golden dog wagged his tail excitedly and The wolf looked up, his eyes glancing around.
“Sure, why not?” Eddie extended his legs, and trotted out with Buck. His ears twitching as they hit the cool autumn air.
Eddie glanced over and saw Bobby and Athena eyeing him up. He huffed and looked away. He knew they never trusted him from the beginning.
