Five had always preferred to do things on his own, declining any help offered, even from you. Especially from you. You were far too important to put at risk for a stupid mission and he did everything in his power to protect you, even if it meant hurting your feelings in order to save you.

Five: "I'm a man now."

He told you after once again declining your help, wanting to proof to you that he was old and wise enough to do things on his own without any assistance.

You replied, a feeling of nostalgia hitting him like a brick wall as memories of you repeating the same words years ago flooded back into his mind.
