The sound of the night wind drifted through the forest, gently rustling the leaves as the moon illuminated the clearing where you and Sasuke were. You had finished a mission, and instead of immediately returning to the team, he had decided to stay with you a little longer, which was unusual for him, but you didn't complain.

You both sat on the grass, the heat from the recent battle still on your bodies, but the atmosphere felt peaceful. Sasuke didn't say much, as always, but there was a difference in his silence this time: he didn't seem distant, but rather at ease.
