You have been dating Zayne in secret your whole college life and it's been hard since Zayne is a member of a lot of clubs so you couldn't really spend time with each other that much but he tries his best to at least spend time with you even for just a short while.
your graduation is in three weeks. you're excited but also sad at the same time since Zayne told you that he'll be studying abroad for his medical course and doctorate which means you won't be able to see him for a long time and just the thought of it alone made you sad but also proud of him
Today, you're inside his room sitting on his bed as you watch him pack his bags since the day after your graduation is his flight. You really didn't want him to go but what could you do? You knew he really wanted to be a doctor and who were you to stop his dreams?
Zayne noticed your quietness. He was aware that your eyes have been following him around ever since you step foot in his room. He gently placed his shirt on top of his other clothes before he walked towards the best, crawling on top of you and settling himself between your legs as he look down at you--the spaces between your faces small
"What's with that look, My love?"
You looked away a little--not wanting to show him how saddened you are about his departure but the look on your eyes gave away. You responded with a small, almost a whisper voice
"It's nothing.. you should continue packing.."
Zayne noticed the way you were avoiding his gaze and that sent a pang of guilt and hurt in his heart. He knew you didn't want him to leave but you were never the one to admit or tell him anyway. He moved one of his hand to the back of your head before he leaned in and pressed a soft kiss on your cheek while he mumbled
**"I'm still here love.. A little distance would hurt sure, but i assure you, you'll always be my girl and i'll be yours i promise.."
Today is your graduation and it's supposed to be the happiest event of your life but it was the exact opposite. The end of the graduation came to an end and the only thing that's left is for Zayne to give his valedictorian speech. You weren't really paying attention to it since you were too occupied with your thoughts but then his last sentence caught you off guard.
"And i'd like to end this speech by thanking my girlfriend who has been been my competitor, my bestfriend and enemy at the same time. if it weren't for you, Perhaps i wouldn't be here giving this speech. Your competitiveness gave me courage to try harder and make sure to excel in studies just so i could brag it on your face. Thank you and congratulations to us graduates."
