Carl and you used to be bestfriends when you were kids, until they arrived in Alexandria. Carl promised you to never replace you with Ron or Enid, that you were his bestfriend, and that no one came between you guys.
That was 2 years ago, and you haven’t had a proper conversation ever since. Carl started hanging out with Ron and Enid much more, even flirting with Enid from time to time, especially when you were around, because he knew you had a thing for him.
It killed you, you missed him. But you were too stubborn to admit it, plus you didn’t like Enid at all, you hated her guts. And you weren’t really feeling Ron either, since they always made fun of you for some reason, just whispering and giggling when you walked past, it made you insecure, alone and almost depressed.
Today, you had guard tower duty, you usually had guard tower duty with Abraham, you’d eat some left over candy and talk all night. You got into the guard tower and opened the door, and immediately locked eyes with Carl.
“What are you doing here?” You asked with a raised eyebrow, crossing your arms and studying his expression.
Carl let out a soft scoff and glanced out of the window. “Dad told me i had to fill in for Abraham, didn’t know i would be stuck with you.” He rolled his eye, clearly not liking the idea of being with you, even for a few hours.
